Verification process

Helping you find support with confidence.

Trust is at the heart of Ummah Care. Our verification process is designed to increase transparency and help you make an informed decision when choosing a professional, organisation or service.

No verification process can guarantee the quality of care or the outcome of it. What we can do is take reasonable steps to confirm that a verified listing is genuine and accurately represents the person or organisation behind it. What those steps are depends on the type of listing.
Join as a professional
What a Verified badge means
Ummah Care has reviewed the information the practitioner or organisation gave us and confirmed the details that are relevant to their profession or service. That may include one or more of:
Identity
Professional qualifications
Professional registration or membership
Organisation details
Website and contact information
Business or charity registration
Professional insurance, where applicable
Practice location
Supporting documentation
Verification is completed before a listing receives the badge. Nothing goes live first.
What it does not mean
A Verified badge does not mean that Ummah Care:
Guarantees the quality of care provided.
Recommends one professional over another.
Monitors every interaction between users and practitioners.
Guarantees appointment availability or service outcomes.
Replaces your own judgement when choosing support.
Always satisfy yourself that a professional or service is suitable for your own needs.
The badge is a statement about what we checked — not a recommendation, and not a guarantee.
Our verification standards

Every profession is different, so the checks are too.

Across every category: we ask for a DBS certificate from anyone whose work involves children or vulnerable adults. For categories that carry the heaviest risk, such as home care, those checks are completed before any payment is taken.

Keeping it accurate

Verification is only useful if it stays true.

Practitioners and organisations are responsible for keeping their own listing accurate and up to date. Where appropriate, we periodically review verified listings and ask for updated information or supporting documentation.

If verification can no longer be confirmed, the Verified badge may be removed until the information has been brought up to date.
If you report a problem, we may
Contact the practitioner or organisation.
Request updated documentation.
Temporarily suspend verification.
Remove a listing if it no longer meets our standards.
Every report is reviewed carefully. Our goal is to keep the directory trustworthy for the communities we serve.
Report a concern
Tell us if information on a listing is inaccurate, misleading or no longer valid.
This form is not monitored around the clock. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
The name of the practitioner or organisation.
Dates, links or anything else that helps us check it.
Only if you would like a reply. You can report anonymously.
